2026 09 Hartford Intermediate/ Advanced Floor Loom (P.M. Session)

This individualized project-based class will provide the student the opportunity to weave projects of their choice. Instructional support is provided for warp winding, loom preparation and weaving. Bench time will be available for students during the 8 weeks, plus regular bench time hours through November 21. 2 weeks prior to the start of class, each student will be contacted to schedule a 30 minute project planning session (in person or virtual) with the instructor. You'll be asked to email your project plan or idea ahead of the planning session and should come prepared to the session with an outline or plan for a project you would like to create, including weave structure, product and  fiber ideas. This can be a draft you have designed or one you have obtained and wish to alter or replicate.
Prerequisite: Completion of Design and Weave class or prior enrollment in an Intermediate/Advanced class.

Bench Time Hours:  
During the 8 weeks of class: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. 
During the last 3 weeks of class (bench time only): Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 am-3:00 pm.

Refunds and Class Cancellations

The Weaving Center reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. Should we do so, registered students will receive a full refund. For active classes cancelled due to weather or instructor illness, a make-up time will be scheduled.

Registered Students: Please notify the Weaving Center as soon as possible if there is a need to cancel your registration.

  • If there is a waiting list and the spot can be filled, a 3% processing fee will be deducted from the total refund if you have paid by credit. If you have paid by check and the spot can be filled, you will receive a full refund.
  • If a spot cannot be filled, no refund will be offered. This includes absences due to unexpected events or personal circumstances such as illness.
  • We do not offer credit towards another class. No-shows forfeit any refund and make-up classes (for instances other than weather related cancellations or instructor illness) are not offered.
