2026 12 Beginner Basket Weaving

In this workshop, you will learn basic basket weaving skills and create a market basket perfect for carrying flowers from your garden or holding a fresh loaf of bread at your table. The basket is woven around a ‘D’ handle which is 10 in. high and 6 in wide.  The basket bottom is 11 in. by 6in. and the rim is 14 in long and 7 in. wide.  The basket is 5 inches high. Color options for ‘chain’ embellishment will be made available so students can choose. Tools and supplies will be provided by the teacher. Students can bring lunch and eat during a short break.

Skill Level: Perfect if you have never woven before
